I am humbled and honored to continue to serve Homestead Elementary's students, faculty, staff, and families as Principal. I believe that all children can learn and deserve every opportunity to do so in a safe, caring environment. At Homestead, our priority is to provide the very best education to support the whole child. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be a part of the top-notch faculty at Homestead Elementary. The commitment to excellence, history, and community pride is incredible!
As a life-long resident of Cumberland County, I have deep roots in this community, reaching all the way back to the creation of the Homesteads Project. My entire educational career, except for a few college years, has been here in Cumberland County. I spent several in the classroom teaching kindergarten, 2nd, and 5th grades, as well as serving as the Response to Intervention Facilitator before leaping into administration.
By supporting one another and working closely together, we will all have the opportunity to experience success. Please feel free to reach out via email or call the school office if you ever have questions or concerns.

Throughout my career, I have taught 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, been an instructional facilitator, RTI Coordinator, and assistant administrator. I believe that ALL children can learn and work to support all members of the Homestead family to ensure they are equipped for success. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have as we work together this year to make Homestead Elementary the best it can be!

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as an Assistant Principal at Homestead Elementary! With 23 years in education—and 13 of those right here at Homestead—this school is more than just where I work; it’s home. Throughout my career, I’ve had the joy of teaching middle school, third and fourth grade, and serving as a STEM teacher. Each experience has shaped my passion for helping students grow, supporting teachers, and building strong school communities.
I’m incredibly excited to join Mrs. Edmonds and Ms. Watts in leadership this year. Together, we’re committed to fostering a school culture where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired. And so, together, they created a school they loved.
A little about me—I’ve been married to my husband, Phillip, for 20 wonderful years. He works at Cumberland Trail State Park, and our family shares a love for the outdoors. We have three amazing kids: Eli (19), who graduated last year and now works at Cumberland Mountain State Park; Braxton (16), a junior in high school who also works at Cumberland Trail State Park; and Emary (10), who proudly represents our family as a fifth grader right here at Homestead! When I’m not at school, you’ll likely find me crafting something creative, curled up with a good book, cooking up something tasty in the kitchen, or out on the water kayaking. Our family time is my favorite time—whether it’s exploring the trails, having movie nights, or just laughing around the dinner table.
